Videy

I spent last week in Videy, a small iceland close to Reykjavik. The island is well known because of the Imagine Peace Tower – an outdoor work of art conceived by Yoko Ono in memory of John Lennon. The tower is lit in February, March, October and December (more information: http://imaginepeacetower.com/ )

During the days spent in Videy I could admire wonderful landscapes (with Reykjavik buildings in the background), rich birdlife, hike a bit and make the most of the long days (now it’s bright outside until 11:30 pm). I have taken some pictures to share the beauty of the amazing Videy.

Zeszły tydzień spędziłam na Videy, małej wyspie nieopodal Reykjaviku. Wyspa ta znana jest przede wszystkim ze względu na Wieżę Imagine Piece – wymyślone przez Yoko Ono dzieło sztuki ku pamięci Johna Lennona. Wieża świeci się co roku w lutym, marcu, październiku i grudniu (więcej informacji tutaj: http://imaginepeacetower.com/ ).

Podczas dni spędzonych w Videy mogłam podziwiać piękne krajobrazy (z panoramą Reykjaviku w tle), oglądać dzikie ptaki, wspinać się na tutejsze górki i czerpać jak najwięcej z długich dni (jest jasno aż do 23:30). Poniżej trochę zdjęć zrobionych na Videy.
