Hólmavík

During the trip to Laugar I visited Hólmavík, a cute village in the north of Iceland.

There are two really small, but interesting museums connected to the history and culture of this country: the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft and the Sheep Farming Museum.

Hólmavík is also a perfect spot for a nice walk. I think you can experience the proper Iceland here – far from the touristy Reykjavik, Blue Lagoon and the most popular routes.
